| IN HOUSE TRAINING AND FACILITATION | | An Introduction to Lean Manufacturing |
| Lean Manufacturing is based on study of the Toyota production system, and this workshop outlines the basics of the Toyota System as well as a tool for looking at the big pictur picture of Lean - the value stream from raw material to customer. Following an introduction to the benefits of Lean Manufacturing this workshop outlines the basic principles behind TPS - Just-in-Time, Autonomation and Lean Manufacturing. We then look at the classic tools for developing flow - One Piece Flow Cell Design and Kanban. Value Stream Mapping itself is the process whereby we analyse the current state of a production process, develop an ideal future state and then create an implementation plan of desirable and practical changes to approach the ideal. Following a practical value stream mapping exercise from a video case study we then look at the implementation stages of Stability, Flow and Levelling, with a consideration of Heijunka, Toyota’ s approach to production levelling. | | For more details, download our Foundations of Lean public workshop brochure or BOOK NOW. |
